Every Sunday from 12–3pm the W Hong Kong’s Kitchen restaurant in Kowloon hosts a luxurious Brunch with free flow Veuve Clicquot champagne and all you can eat seafood bar. The food is extremely indulgent with over the top dessert bars, sushi station, carving stations, Hong Kong favorites and so much more. It is definitely an experiencing worth having at least once while visiting Hong Kong.

During my last trip to Hong Kong I told myself I wanted to enjoy a true Hong Kong brunch, which people all over Hong Kong go all out for on Sundays. Let me tell you that I was not disappointed and delighted I got the chance to experience this amazing brunch at one of my favorite hotels in Hong Kong.

This brunch was unlike anything I had ever experienced anywhere in the world. I love brunch and for me experiencing an ‘Alice and Wonderland’ themed brunch with this level of food and service was nothing short of amazing. The décor throughout the buffet is over the top with the bright colored displays, little pink luggage, cat statues, dish displays and the attention to detail on every level throughout makes the experience that much more memorable. The food displays throughout are amazing and with the Alice and Wonderland whimsical theme it brought this brunch to another level.

The service in the restaurant was exceptional. They have certainly set the standards high in term of service, my champagne glass was never empty and I never had to call someone over either. They would fill my glass and clear my table like ninjas, sometimes without me even noticing. They also kept offering me addition drink options, amazing fruit juices and detoxifying water to help balance out the champagne throughout the three-hour brunch. In addition to the exceptional food and the extraordinary service the people working at the Kitchen made my experience that much more memorable. I would definitely give the service and attention to detail a five-start rating and would recommend it to anyone asking if the W Hong Kong brunch is worth it.

We were welcomed into the dinning room and seated by the windows allowing us a view of the harbor. The dinning room has floor to ceiling windows and a lot of natural light making the room seam very open and free flowing. The buffet is setup in a big room in the back behind the main seating area.

Now for the food OMG what a spread the W definitely knows how to do brunch right. You will find anything and everything your heart desires. Offering a good variety of food for all tastes, from a few pre made salads to a full salad bar, a fruit bar, various hot dishes (dim sum, make your own noodle bowls, sushi, pasta and a carving station, along with some more Western style dishes) gluten free option, a bread bar and so much more. If you love seafood this brunch buffet is definitely for you, they have everything you could ask for, big fresh lobsters, oysters, crab legs, Caviar, and Smoked Salmon. The seafood layout was honestly one of the most extravagant I had ever seen in a buffet setup. The nice thing about the buffet is you also don’t need to worry about filling your dish up right of the bat, out of fear of missing out. They constantly replenish the buffet and it always look as fresh as it did the first few minutes. For me this is key when you are spending as much as we did on an amazing brunch.

One of my all time favorites from the buffet was the Lobster Eggs Benedict, take note I am not someone who normally eats Eggs Benedict leaning more to the healthier options but I had at least 4 of these, OMG the flavor and presentation was out of this world. It was fabulous best thing I had and a must try when you go to the brunch. Also worth mentioning was the noodle bowl station, when travelling in Asia I love enjoying there local foods and this was one I fell in love with, they definitely had a lot of options to make your own unique bowl which was an amazing experience. Another worth mentioning is the deserts, oh the dessert options. I am a lover of deserts; growing up with a French upbringing I have always enjoyed my sweets. They have such a beautiful dessert display with the little pink luggage’s everywhere.

Overall my review is, this buffet surpassed all my expectation. The food, service and overall design/layout were amazing. The W Hong Kong is one of my favorite hotels in the world and there Sunday Bubbly brunch did not disappoint. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Hong Kong looking to experience a unique, luxurious brunch. Don’t forget the free flowing champagne, it goes oh so well with the seafood buffet. To anyone asking is it worth the hefty price tag to enjoy the Bubbly Brunch when you get to experience the regular breakfast with the hotel? I have the answer for you; yes it is worth the money. The regular breakfast buffet is fabulous don’t get me wrong its better than most breakfast I have ever experienced at any hotel in the world, but the Bubbly Brunch is at a whole other level with its champagne and seafood offering which is honestly what your paying for. So if you are questioning whether or not to make the leap and go all out for the Alice Wonderland Bubbly Brunch, go for it and you will thank me later.
