Ritz-Carlton Reserve
SEPTEMBER 2015 - Bali

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve has once again created a haven unlike any other for its guest, easily standing out from the rest of the luxury retreats located in Ubud. In September of 2015 they opened the doors to only the third Reserve in the world. A retreat designed with tranquility in mind, it is the landscape and its nature inspired accents that will surely captivate your mind and soul as soon as you enter the oasis known as the Mandapa.

The Mandapa is a luxurious five star resort, nestled among the spiritual Balinese landmarks and rich cultural traditions of Ubud. The hotel has been designed to resemble a Balinese village, with working rice paddies, organic farm and garden located throughout the property. This is not your everyday hotel, bringing forth all the key elements needed to create the perfect oasis for its guests; tranquility, an escape from the outside world, the total package all wrapped into a beautifully crafter cultural oasis.

The hotel features a state-of-the-art spa, which is based off the six pillars of wellness. You can truly find a moment of relaxation in one of the 8 treatment rooms tucked away in the Ubud jungle. They offer traditional Balinese healing treatments; detox treatments, and ESPA treatments. They also offer the guest yoga classes in the mornings and afternoon for those who wish to join.

Wonder why the hotel is called Mandapa? It means temple, once again instilling the true meaning of the Balinese culture into this hotels design.

The Mandapa hotel features 35 luxury suites and 25 private pool villas. The pool villas come in 3 arrangements, a one bedroom, two-bedroom, or three-bedroom configuration. They all come with their own pool, living room and deep soaker tube, which is designed to make you feel like you are bathing outside among nature. One addition luxury is each room has its own private butler to help make your stay that much more special and personalized.

The rooms at the Mandapa each have their own exquisite design, bringing forth the true Balinese culture found throughout Ubud. Larger than life plant-filled paintings made especially for the hotel fill the rooms at the Mandapa. They are unquestionably the main focus of the room and are a large component of the style that flow throughout the room. The bedroom features bright colorful accents, with neutral earthy base tones.

The property features four luxury restaurants, which include a variety of foods from Indonesian and Mediterranean cuisine along with fresh ingredients from the hotel’s farm. You can also reserve a special dinner throughout the property should you be looking for something a little more special. The staff at the Mandapa look to ensure you are completely satisfied with your stay and are some of the most helpful and attentive hotel staff you will ever meet. Look to reserve a dinner in one of the cocoons at the Cocoon Restaurant for you and your loved one. I highly recommend it.
